It has been a busy month at The Poker Academy. But it has been good too. We successfully launched the new addition to the NL Hold’em cash course, Fundamentals of NL Cash.
We designed this as a how to properly value and play my own hands course. The two follow up segments will deal with both adjustments for opponents and game structure.
Even though it almost always takes twice as long as we plan, and a big team effort, we are usually pretty happy with the content when we are done. Plus, it always feels great when we get positive feedback from our students. WE LOVE SUCCESS STORIES. Please feel free to brag in the forums or in emails to us! Or as Lori likes to do, on Facebook.
She might be the best!
Next up for me is the WSOP. I have already arranged my housing. I just started looking at the schedule and seeing what new events they added. I have been playing a few more tournaments the last month and have a couple on the schedule for May. I like to feel good about my game going into the WSOP. For me, there are two things that do that, playing and studying. Yes, I still study. Poker is an evolving game. People are always improving. If you don’t keep up, well, bad things happen.
The other thing I like to do is clear my plate of as many distracting things as I can so I can just focus on poker. This means less side interests, from sports to cryptocurrencies. Although, I do still indulge 😊.
For you at home thinking of going for the tournament or few tournaments of choice, I recommend a similar approach. Show up with the ability to be focused. Show up with your poker game sharp. Show up without commitments on day 3. Be prepared. Be well rested.
One way to work on your tournament game is to try out our NL Tournament Course. It is a complete A-Z guide to tournament poker. The entire course is 25 hours of content divided into 12 sessions. There are over 90 videos. We are so confident that it is the best poker course on the market today, we offer a 90-day money back guarantee.
For those of you that are interested, here is a little secret. It is going to be on sale for the whole month of May. That’s right, just in time to study for the WSOP. Coincidence? Nope. We want our students to arrive prepared and to do well. The whole course will be on sale for a one-time charge of $399. Each of the twelve 2-hour sessions will be on sale for $39.99. When I say, one-time charge, I am just clarifying that there is no recurring fee for access. When you buy from us, you think of it like a book you can never lose. For as long as you want to play and study poker, you’ll have access to your content.
Best of luck at the WSOP!!! Hopefully we can all meet in the winner’s circle.
