Hey guys,
The World Series of Poker is less than a month away and we wanted to give people the opportunity to get their games tuned up before it starts. This year, we decided to do a few interesting things.
The first was mentioned by Rep in his blog last week, but I’ll mention it again. For the last few weeks Rep and I have been doing a weekly Twitch stream every Tuesday night with the intention of going over strategies for each of the eight games in the standard WSOP eight-game mix. We started with No-Limit hold’em, and followed that with Stud high, Limit Hold’em, and Omaha 8 or better. This Tuesday we’ll be doing a stream where Rep will be discussing Razz, a game he knows a little something about, considering he’s won two WSOP bracelets in Razz alone.
When we do the streams, we often take actual hands that have been played by various people and, using Jason Somerville’s replayer, we analyze the hands and the decisions made, which is great for the viewers as they actually get to see and hear Rep discuss real-life scenarios instead of purely theoretical situations.
The Twitch streams have been entertaining and fun, and we’ve had a small group watching and asking questions each time. They all seem to enjoy the show and Rep and I both enjoy interacting with the viewers and answering their poker questions, so the hour-long streams have flown by each time. The best part about them is they’re completely free, so If you get the chance, stop by one of the next Tuesday nights and join us starting at 7pm Pacific Time! The other thing we decided to do was to offer our No-Limit Tournament course at a pretty big discount. Until June 1st, you can now purchase the entire 12-session course plus the course guide for just $399. You can also check it out by purchasing the first session for just 5 bucks and then the rest for just $39.99, which gives you a lot of options to take the course without a huge upfront expense. Of course, you only have until June 1st to buy the sessions at that price, so you’ll have to devote a lot of time to it since the full course is more than 25 hours!
Hope to see many of you at the WSOP next month!
Rick
